    We absolutely adore homes where ingenious designers and architects come together to not only revamp and rejuvenate an old and dreary interior but also end up creating an entirely unique and exciting new design style.

    A clever mix of modern furnishings with vintage finds reclaimed and restored pieces and vintage delights adds another layer of intrigue to this fascinating holiday home. Complete with five different bedrooms that offer diverse themes and décor that complements these respective themes there is plenty of space for guests and friends here!

    Originally owned by designer-builder Kipp Stewart the cabin has also hosted the likes of Phillip Johnson and David Whitney in the past. Its latest avatar was crafted by Studio Schicketanz by giving it a breezy overhaul with a new kitchen and bathroom as well as a smart refurbishment.

    A more open floor plan replaced the traditional interior that was burdened with unnecessary partitions to create a cheerful and pleasant ambiance indoors. A revamp in the style of the new guest bathroom family bathroom master bedroom and children’s bedrooms completes the makeover that still retains much of the original flavor of the classic British structure despite the fresh ergonomic skin.

    Instead of using wood for its exterior structure (which is often the norm in the region) LAB606 opted for concrete blocks that offered proper insulation while cutting down the costs drastically. It is this smart use of concrete along with metallic window frames shutters and doors that gave the residence its final shape.
