Large glass doors and windows on the lower level connect the large open plan living area with the landscape outside even as the wooden deck and pool area become an extension of the interior. A lovely bookcase adds color to the cultured living room where décor and accessories are kept to a bare minimum.
That said those buildings from the old Russia are unique to its history and heritage their often modern and brutal abstraction emblematic of a fascinating architectural chapter that doubtless influences what we see today.
Every little detail inside the cabin is crafted to ensure that the atmosphere is as informal and serene as possible while remaining true to the classic woodsy cabin style. Pops of green yellow and blue add excitement and bring out the cool architectural features in each room with simplicity being the key focal point.

Restoring and maintaining the house Knud Erik had the walls rendered using lime in the original white colour. Its window frames (there are 104 windows) were sanded and painted and the original exterior doors were taken apart then returned to their former state.
